Privacy Policy

Stackdbase builds websites, storefronts, and software for our clients. We take the same care with your data that we put into that work. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the control you have over it.

Effective July 18, 2026

Who we are

Stackdbase ("Stackdbase", "we", "us", or "our") is a digital studio that designs and builds websites, headless and Shopify storefronts, and custom software. This policy applies to stackdbase.com and the services, forms, and communications offered through it. It does not cover third-party sites we link to, or projects we operate on behalf of a client under that client's own privacy policy.

Information we collect

We only collect what we need to respond to you and run our business:

  • Information you give us. Your name, email address, company, and the project details you share when you send a brief, request a quote, subscribe to updates, or email us directly.
  • Information collected automatically. Basic technical data your browser sends — IP address, device and browser type, referring pages, and the pages you view — gathered through server logs and privacy-respecting analytics to keep the site secure and understand what's useful.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. Small files used for essential functionality and aggregate analytics. See Cookies below.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as government identifiers, health, or financial account numbers), and we ask that you don't send it to us through this site.

How we use your information

We use the information above to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and prepare a scope or quote;
  • Deliver, maintain, and improve our services and this website;
  • Send you updates, newsletters, or project communications you've asked for (you can opt out at any time);
  • Keep the site secure and prevent fraud or abuse;
  • Meet our legal, accounting, and contractual obligations.

We never sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising by third parties.

How we share your information

We share personal information only where it's necessary, and only with parties who are required to protect it:

  • Service providers. Trusted vendors that host our site, store our data, deliver our email, and process payments — acting on our instructions under confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal reasons. When required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Stackdbase or others.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we'll ensure your information stays protected.
  • With your consent. Any other sharing you specifically authorise.

Payments, if any, are handled by our payment processors directly — we don't store full card details on our servers.

How we protect your information

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), reputable managed infrastructure, access controls, and least-privilege practices to safeguard your data. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, so while we work hard to protect your information, we can't guarantee absolute security. If you hold an account with us, keeping your credentials confidential is your responsibility.

Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described here — to serve you, run our business, and meet legal obligations — after which we delete or anonymise it. Enquiry and project records are generally kept for the life of the relationship plus a reasonable period for legal and accounting purposes.

Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies: essential ones that make the site work, and analytics that help us understand traffic in aggregate. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may affect how parts of the site function. We honour "Do Not Track" and global privacy control signals where our tooling supports them.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of marketing. We do not sell or "share" your personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@stackdbase.com. We'll respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, and we won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Third-party links

Our site may link to third-party websites and services we don't control. This policy doesn't apply to them — we encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

Children's privacy

Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

International visitors

We operate online and may process and store information on servers located in other countries. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place for cross-border transfers. By using the site, you understand your information may be processed outside your home country.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Effective" date above and, where changes are material, provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
